Members porter57 Posted April 20, 2006 Members Posted April 20, 2006 im gonna be arriving at the lake and fishing anywhere from tucker hollow on up to k dock on may 6th . gonna be there a week. fished the same week last year and really slayed the crappies. from the sounds of things ,there hasnt been much going on. does this mean they are post spawn right now and might turn on about then? im gonna go regardless but i have to wonder ..with all the warm weather , have i missed the big bite for the year? i typically make it down there at least once if not twice a year and have gone days without a bite and other times had to take a break cause the catching was that fast. this lake is one of the best ive ever fished and wish i lived closer so i could visit more often. seems like the water is kinda low for this time of year, are there any plans for a huge rise or do you think they will keep the lake stable for a change? should be a nice crop of crappies this year and im somewhat suprised not to hear anything mike
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 20, 2006 Root Admin Posted April 20, 2006 I've always had a hard time getting reports for Bull Shoals... not sure why. But as for fishing the first week in May- yes we are weeks, if not a month ahead on spawning for all fish because of the high temps. And yes our lakes are extremely low. BUT you never know what can happen in a short time if we get a rain pattern that fills the lakes quickly. SO- hard to say how the fishing will be. Keep watching the forum and ask again alittle closer to the week. When you're on BS- at the resorts and docks, talk up the forum and hopefully we'll get more info on the area you like to fish here.
Members K Red Posted July 30, 2006 Members Posted July 30, 2006 I'll be staying at a resort located near Theodosia a week from now. I remember there being a bulletin board located in their office/gameroom with postings of items that may be of interest to the guests, Branson shows, Guides services, float trips, local fishing and hunting regulations ect.. I don't think the owners would object to having a flyer posted that would promote this board to their guests. Their typical guests are repeat out of state customers making yearly trips much like myself and most do some fishing during their stay. I would guess that they have 10+ units fully booked thru the summer. If you feel this would be in the best interest of Ozarkanglers, I would be more than happy to post a flyer or whatever you feel is appropriate on their bulletin board. Let me know what you all think.......Kelly

Members K Red Posted August 13, 2006 Members Posted August 13, 2006 Phil, The rack cards were there waiting for me when I checked in Sat afternoon. The owners were more than happy to set them out. I noticed them later in the week set out next the Mo Fishing Regulation booklets.
