P-line 8# Floroclear And Quantum Kvd(kevin Van Daam) 7'med Hvy

Just thought I would throw this tid-bit in here. I had respooled my two spinning rods with P-Line Floroclear in 8# test yesterday for dragging the fish doctor. Absolutely loved it! Sensitivity was great. Knot strength, no problem with a palomar. Cast'd like a dream. I can't say anything bad! Anybody else have any experience with this line?

I bought the rod above at last years Spring Fishing Classic. They were advertising it for drop-shotting. Something I need to really learn how to do.......LOL. Anyway, after handling it and really trying to get a feel for I had bought it for swimming a grub and finesse/shaky-head fishing. It performed flawlessly yesterday for dragging the doctor. Length was ideal for casting some distance and hooksets usually not a problem except for when I wasn't paying attention! My dragging technique is too keep rod low and sweep to the side and a reel-down and low jerk to the right side for the hook set. It works best for me since I'm right handed.

Anyway, just had to brag on this rod and see if anyone else out there owns one!?

I don't know about the rod, but P-Lines are premium.

I have used P-line before and like it but I am definitely going to be using more of this particular floroclear!

Have used it for the past 3 years, and really like it. Used mostly for jerkbaits and jigs. Tried 12 lb. test for flipping last year and broke off too many times for my liking, but the 15 lb. test perfroms well for flipping at least for me. It is a good line, has a good price tag and those two items are why I buy it. Have a couple of buddies buying it now.

I have used p-line for 2 years, I love it, my brother, dad and some friends use it, we all really like it.

Good strength, low visibility. I have not experienced any problems yet.

I've been addicted to P-Line's Fluoro for quite some time in the 8 pound. I tried the Halo (fluoro) in Mist Green last year, and seems to disappear even better underwater. I love it! :D

Well you all sold me, I believe I will be sticking with P-Line!

Pay close attention to diameters. Premium CX is the thinnest, with Floroclear close behind. The CXX, etc are thicker. The rock doesn't have much to worry about when it comes to abrasion, and what it does have is probably covered by the Fluorocarbon coating on the Cx and Floroclear.

i like the cx much better than the cxx. maybe the spool of cxx i got was defective???? but it had such a bad memory in it that i finally pitched it! no prob. with the cx tho.

The CXX is a heavier strand and a different diameter than the CX or the Floroclear. It better suited to baitcasters.
