Whack'emGood Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Wow, I feel like a dumy ! Redbird you're right! I never thought of that..it was on the windy points. It make sence now. I've never done that but I will now. See you do learn something every time out. I just took the long way around Thanks guys !!! If I were you, I wouldn't change a thing... Why would you change and do what they were doing? You said you were catching fish (and nice ones) right behind them with a jig right? It looks to me that you were the one who knew what you were doing... they should take note of how you were fishing instead! If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)

Whack'em Thats exactly it, The results for the tournament on saturday were that 12 pounds won, they weren't catching them on that buzz bait. I always love it when your whack em and no one else is doing what you are doing. The guys who win are not usually the ones who are throwing the same thing as the whole field.
binman Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 If you are refering to USA Bassin my uncle came in third with four keepers 3 of which was on the buzz not a white one but none the less a buzz bait and I can tell you myself i have been tearing them big fish up on a buzz in the morning in the creeks Brandon Inman

Im sure there is a buzz bait bite right now. Im just saying that on that day even five keepers on the buzz bait that went twelve pounds is nothing to change for. 12 pounds is crazy low wait right now. Well see what the AIA boys do. Im pretty sure 12 isnt going to cut it.

That is pretty much a couple of 3lbers and 3 barely keepers with a 5 fish limit. Don't take me wrong... I'm sure he's right about buzzbaits working right now... I was just saying that you have a chance to catch 12lbs right now on most anything you want to fish with.
