Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 21, 2009 Root Admin Posted October 21, 2009 Vince told me this afternoon that the gates are not all the way off. Emailed Shane and he told me they'd slowed the flow from 20,000 cfs to 15,000, about 2100 cfs coming over the top now. He talked to COE and they said that SWPA has to get Table Rock down to 915 by December 1st (not sure why). If Table Rock gets down to 918, which it should by Thursday, they should resume "normal" generation and close the gates. Water temp is down and DO levels are staying above 4 pmm.

Keep 'em bitin' Phil, Nick and I will be there Thursday! Bounce jigs off the bottom? Real men go propless!
Members troutenhausen Posted October 21, 2009 Members Posted October 21, 2009 My brother and I will be there Thursday, too. We plan to start with jigs, and our rain coats! Been fishing at Taney for 24 years, since I was 9, and I finally am bringing my own boat, can't wait to get it in the water. Usually I would be praying for no flow for the flyfishing up top, but bring on the water! Phil, we will stop by to pick up some other jigs, just in case white isn't what they want. I assume that a weighted wooly bugger should work just as well. Any thoughts?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 21, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted October 21, 2009 It'll have to be really heavy to get down.
Members jlpatton1 Posted October 21, 2009 Members Posted October 21, 2009 Talked with MDC yesterday, they are also using gates to supplement oxygen levels. We're getting low readings before the rain, yesterday 4.6 at your place Phil.. and in the 4's down here. Lamar Patton Scotty's Trout Dock & Marina Branson, MO
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 21, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted October 21, 2009 4 ppm is about all we can hope for though. That's the norm for fall.
bigredbirdfan Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Where is the oxygen info on different lake parts available??
