oneshot Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 You can come down to our place and fish off the dock. Just saw a gentleman clean his limit he caught this morning off the dock. Stop in the office and register. I'm curious... where are you finding WiFi - at the park? Will do Phil. Thanks! oneshot
rainbow Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 My first trip to Taney was in 1973 after watching a trout fishing episode on the old Virgil Ward show. Rented a boat at Roark Creek resort and motored up stream with my 5hp outboard and water running. The rest is history.
brownieman Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I can remember (barely, lol) back in the day Rockaway Beach was more alive and kickin than Branson. I've heard my father talk about the White River when he was a younger man...sure would have enjoyed seeing the River the way God meant it to be...a classic example of the 'Human Control Factor'. Whatever...there's 2 sides to every coin I reckon. Kyles longboats are the best attempt I've seen to bring a little of the "Good Ole Days" back. My grandad delivered plugs, flies and poppers to the lakes that did exist back then. Anyone happen to remember "The Judges Baitshop"?. He was quite a neat fellow, quite being both a judge and a lawyer because it was interfering with his fishing time...back when a few men had their priorities in order, lol. later on My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? Avatar...mister brownie bm <><

Gatorjet Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Oneshot, Phil has a great place. You can get one of the smaller off-lake cabins at a very reasonable rate. His tackle store prices are the lowest in Branson. Also fishing from his dock can be very productive. I have been going there for almost 20 years, and never regreated a single trip. Real men go propless!

Thanks I think my wife would like staying there if I could squeeze her grip lose on some $$.Its bad when a woman keeps track of how many Hooks you have. One time I had two Deer Tags told her I only had three Bullets. She tells me I better not miss. oneshot
