WebFreeman Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I'm fishing my company tournament on Pomme de Terre this weekend. If anyone has any tips or patterns, that would be great. Otherwise, I'll report in on Monday. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
CMAC Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I heard from a realible source the Super Solo was won with bed fish a weekend or so ago. I would start looking for the light spots in shallow water. Just a recommendation. The area you are taking off from would not require much running.

I think it's 739. There is a good map from the Dept. of Convservation and I believe that's what it said. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
Flysmallie Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Normal is 839. Elevation now is 842.10 and dropping. I've heard they have been catching some nice fish up in the bushes pitching a jig. Another good technique is to toss a spinnerbait up in the bushes. Also a lot of fish being caught on main lake points with lizards.
Members imonembad Posted May 24, 2006 Members Posted May 24, 2006 thanks alot guys im wanting to work the spinnerbait trick, ive had luck with this techniqe in the past.do you think the falling water level will mess with this patteren?
Flysmallie Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 As long as the water doesn't drop completely out of the bushes you should be fine. Let us know how it goes.
Members imonembad Posted June 5, 2006 Members Posted June 5, 2006 Im back, Thanks for the advice it gave me the confidence to run the creek and win the tournament With 13.10lbs.They would'nt hit the spinnerbaits or the jig but they anniolated the buzzbait we caught 12 keepers and lost a nice one. Thanks again.peace
Flysmallie Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Congratulations! I had forgotten how good that lake can be on the buzzbait. Had a friend that used to fish that lake everyday and used only buzzbaits. He caught a lot of nice fish.
