I thought this might be interesting. I was at Truman Tailwater yesterday and it dawned on me that I've over fish the Osage around Warsaw , off and on, for over fifty years. I've also fished Bennett for about the same amount. I've missed years when living out of state, and probably some when back in state, but I always end up fishing them again.

How about you?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

You got me topped out on bennet Wayne. If you take away the 4 years that I was overseas, I have fished bennet every year for 44 years. Taney would top out at 34 years, and montauk and the current river an even 30 years.

My dad started taking me to Tanneycomo in 1964, 45 years ago.

The only good line is a tight line

Wow! Taney trout were only 5 years old back then.

I guess it would 40 years for me give or take at Roaring River and Flat creek that runs thru Cassville

I started fishing R.R. in 68 and I fished it every year with my dad, many times a year, untill I could drive

and then I guess I fished it several times a week when I could afford the gas to get down there.

Skipped a lot of school to fish R.R. and I don't think I ever had a job that got in the way of my fishing.

We used to skip out of school and fish flat creek, mostly smallmouth and bluegill, but with the

trout hatchery being so close we got the occasional rainbow, I received many a whooping

by Mr. Trotter our school principal. I got better at skipping when I started driving :)

I can't remember missing an opening. I've made the opening every year since I was 6 years old.

Gosh I'm old.......

I’ve been in 25 different states and I’ve fished in all of them but two. I guess everyone has there favorite places to go and I do too. But I really like trying new places when I can! Just like deer hunting I like to try new places I’ve never seen. I’ve never done the same thing for fifty years! Are you kidding me? I need change, I need flavor, I need new stimuli! Of course the wife did take it a little hard when she found out I had five other wives! LOL

Tell a thousand funny jokes and no one remembers!

Tell one bad one and no one forgets!

I didn't intend it to mean a place that was the only place one fishes, but one of those you have repeatedly returned to over the years.

My number is small but I am pretty young still, even though I feel like I'm older. I've been fishing the Aunts Creek Arm of Table Rock since I was four or five. It is the place where I caught my first fish, my first bass, my first trophy, my first fish on a fly rod and my first bass on a flyrod. It's been about twenty years now but next year maybe my last. I've fished The Finley for about 15 years and The James for about 15 years.
