Greg Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Anyone have a TFO Finesse? I really prefer a medium action rod and it looks (and feels) like a good rod in that category. Mike Davis Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I have a Finesse 1, 3, 4 and 5 and fish and enjoy them all. My go to rod for the Little Red was an 8'9" 4WT. I have a new rod .. an 8'9" 3WT in the Flyrod Chronicle that will see a bunch of action, too. To me it feels like it would fall between a Pro and a Finesse. All I know is a size 18 Zebra midge and about 15' of 7X leader and tippet and it's a bunch of fun. Mike I went to buy batteries but they weren't included. Steven Wright
Terry Beeson Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 'Bout time you chimed in on this, Mike... Took you over 4 hours You don't have a 2wt Finesse? I knew you needed another TFO rod... Mike Davis Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I have a couple 2WT's now. The 6' 2 piece Signature and the 8' 3 piece Pro. Spring creek fishing in Wisconsin at my dad's is fun with them. Good blue gill rods too. Mike I went to buy batteries but they weren't included. Steven Wright

Mike Davis Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Max .. I don't have a wife to worry about. All my stuff will be going to my grandkids. One of them asked me that if they're going to get the goodies, why am I using them. I just tell them grandpa is just making sure everything works. Mike I went to buy batteries but they weren't included. Steven Wright
Members Midge Master Posted December 13, 2009 Members Posted December 13, 2009 I to am a big fan of TFO rods. Best bang for your buck of just about any rod out there. My favorate rod is a 9' 4w ticr, great rod for just about any thing.Have taken it col. seveal times and so far i've had no problem with casting in the strong winds out there. Even with 15'-20' leaders. Another rod is the 7'6" ticr-x in a 6w. Great small stream smallmouth rod . Can cast popping bugs, streamers just about what ever you want to throw. Need to cast 80 or more feet, no problem. A ross evolution 1.5 will balance the rod so its extremly light. A pure pleasure to cast all day with out your arm giving out. Just my two cents worth about my two favorate TFO rods. Midge Master
Steve Smith Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I broke the tip on the TFO 2WT Lefty Kreh Professional Series rod about two years ago. I dreaded to return it as I thought it would be weeks before I got it back. Finally decided to face the situation and send it in. I sent it UPS last Monday afternoon, and Thursday it was sitting on my front porch repaired. Four day turnaround on a rod that was broke due to my negligence is darn good service from those folks. NO doubt in my mind that TFO sells quality rods and stands behind their warranty. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
