Chief Grey Bear Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Really beautiful fish BM! I love cranking for trout. Funny thing though, like mine, yours don't seem to gut hooked and bleeding either. Rock on bro! Rock on bro! Even with two treble hooks I am lucky to have one hook in the fish usually.. And they always seem to go back no worse for the wear... cricket.c21.com

FishinCricket Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I didn't like banking the brown like that but he was in real fast water and I dang near dropped my camera earlier on the bo...fish just don't pose well, lol. thanks guys later on Funny you would phase it that way. As I was taking that picture of that decent looking brown I just caught the other day, it kept hopping around and it was all I could do to get it to hold still.. She had tried posing next to the boat in the water, but we didn't bring the net and I didn't want to keep the hook in it.. It was frustrating, but all the while I was commenting on how "the forum guys will give me grief if I bring back another picture with my finger in the poor girls gills!" To which my wife replied, verbatim: "You tell them guys that a lunker fish just don't pose well, and they need to cool their jets!" Kinda puts new meaning to the phrase "From the mouths of Babes", eh? cricket.c21.com
Tito Degiosio Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 made it over to current Tuesday and met a good friend there for a days retreat we started our morning at Tan Vat before the sun was up I already had two fish on but no success landing them when my friend arrived we made are way upstream on the banks trying to spot some fish to go after It didn't take long to see that the fish that were everywhere two months ago had gone somewhere else we could hardly spot a fish did any body else notice this ? but anyhow I still manage to catch a couple by fishing the deep holes and even by the bank of a shallow fast run after are little bush wacking adventure upstream we decide to drive down to are favorite little spot and walk in while kickin back for a moment gathering are heads and drinking coffee we met a nice fellow who lives near by as we watched him land a fish out of the very hole i just got done fishing and had no luck out of we chatted for moment and was on our way we were quickly into fish but just for a moment then slowed down again only two fish were worth a photo shot and they weren't the biggest in the river just something to look at again my friend did hook up with one of the giant browns that lurk in that stream he broke him off after a five min. fight ,which by the way a fish this big doesn't fight that hard just kinda sits there in charge of what is going on you can't move him he has to want to move but when the line broke he did surface and we got to see what the fuss was all about a brown with a girth that I he could only describe as the width of a magazine and two foot long or better, what a nice fish wish he could have got him in the net but any how here's a couple pictures for ya had two chubs take hold at the same time got a laugh out of it so I had to snap a shot also a few fish who had just prob. spawned and were just kinda play fighting around didn't even notice that they had drifted right by me I have had this happen about five times in the last week the right place at the right time a guess well injoy fly of day eggs and some little fly with red thread and peacock herl and red rubber legs haven't named it yet just caught a few fish on it Tito DeGiosio & Cydney Siri Pleasnt Valley Cabin and Camping (Home of the fresh baked pies) www.pleasant-valley.biz 970-249-8330
