Members Jet121
Thinking about a half day float on the NFOW on Saturday. I see the river is starting to come back down to some pretty nice flows (800-900 cfs). I read in Brians post that most of the standard flies are producing, but with the less water, what sizes should I be carrying. I have only fished the river once, and it was about 10 years ago. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Jeremiah
Gavin
You dont need a big selection for the NFoW...My #1 fly year in year out is a big black rubberleg stonefly...usually size 4,6, or 8... #2 is a Prince nymph 8-16 #3 is a golden stone 8-14, bring your regular nymph selection too, glo balls, san juans, some streamers and you should have it covered. Fishing is usually good at this level but you need to fish deep....Wear some blaze orange cuz there might be a few deer hunters out. Cheers. Members Jet121
Brian, Had something come up on Thursday and never made it over. Pretty disappointing seeing how nice the weather was. Hopefully I will be able to get over there before Christmas. I bet the river looks pretty good right now.
