Members TRSmallie Posted November 17, 2009 Members Posted November 17, 2009 Well started early at dawn with topwater in mind with the calm wind last Sat. morning. Caught 3 on a Sammy, and 2 on a Pop-R in 55 deg water. The water is slightly stained. Morning bight slowed and off I went to fish the bluff. I really am starting to love drop-shot fishing. It just produces. Caught 3 more and venture my way toward the boathouse. Got some jerk bait fish to bight and I was happy with them. Only 1 spinnerbait fish. With the wind picked up I really thought it would have been better. I need the temp to drop a little more for my liking. On way back picked up a chunky jig fish. And I was off the water by noon.
smallmouthjoe Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Good looking fish, thanks for posting. Only one SB fish is surprising, I've been thinking about heading down there soon for a SB bite.

Daveinozark Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 How far did you go down and what species where they? didn't go far at all down stream, mostly cause I was short on time. I spent too much time near the falls, no bites there. They were caught all on the bluff side, most where that 1st large tree hangs over and in the small riffle there. Of course there's a lot of roots there and lost a few tubes in it. It was 1 large red eye, 2 smallies and 1 small large mouth. Gonna try there again Sat morning hopefully. I go early and don't stay long, but with 5 girls and a wife at home, i'll take what i can get
