Don Allenbaugh Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 The draw down on Bull Shoals and Norfork has started. They are running 20,000 cfs through Bull Shoals and 6,000 cfs through Norfork and plan to run that 24 hrs a day. The corps fills that they will have them down to pool by mid January if we do not get too much rain in the basin. It is running full bore below my house above Rims Shoals. Don A
Zack Hoyt Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I bet thats quite a site out your back door. 20,000cfs is no laughing matter. Beaver and Table Rock are not genning hardly at all. I figure it will take a few days to see what they plan on doing, if it is going to differ from whats going on now. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
Zack Hoyt Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 SWPA Schedule for tomorrow is out. Still pumping BS and norfork, and Taney is getting turned on all day. I assume beaver will start once TR is lower. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
Don Allenbaugh Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 UPDATE: They have 4 flood gates open at Norfork (picture in Baxter Bulletin) and according to my neighbor 2 flood gates open on Bull Shoals. I can tell you that there is more than 20,000 cfs flowing down the White. This is the third highest I have ever seen the water at my place. Don A
jeb Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Good. Hopefully making room to drain some out of Beaver. We're plumb full here! John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
