I was wondering if St. Johns Creek, which flows through Washington holds fish. It sure looks good, and I was wondering if it has largemouth, catfish, whatever. It's probably too slow and murky for smallmouth but who knows.

Only way to find out is to go fish it, good luck.

I will. I've heard rumors that it's kinda polluted, so who knows.

I may wait till we get some warmer weather, and then give it a shot. It probly at least has some sunnies.

OTF... I'm guessing "sunnies" are longears, sunfish, punkinseeds? Eastern Missouri jargon vs. Western Missouri jargon... :D

When I say sunnies, I'm basically referring to longears, pumpkinseeds, bluegill, green sunfish etc....

It's kinda like the whole goggleye vs. rock bass vs perch debate... There all the same thing, but it seems everyone has a different word for them B)

Same could be said for smallmouth... lets see, bronzebacks, smallies, brownies, greens, I know there's more but I can't think of them.

Funny you menttion that little creek, I grew up in Wasington and have fished that creek many many times. It hold a good population of Largemouth, Green ear sunfish and Gar.
