Oh you know it. I am lookin at mid Janurary for that trip I was telling you about. Are Sundays good for you? I can do a Saturday but, that is a little tougher for Buzz.

The schedule I am currently on has me with Thursday, Friday, Saturday off. But, with a couple weeks advance notice, I can usually work out a trade with someone to get a Sunday off. Let me know when and we'll make it happen!

No Smallmouth at the confluence of Shoal and Capps? Man, I caught some of my best smallmouth along there and there as well a real nice one two holes up from the bridge where you park. I need to get down there again one day, used to hit it a lot my Jr. and Sr. year of High School ('87-'88).....holy cow, that was over 20 years ago!!!

We could have used all of you at the "Fest"! Then I would have had to break out the chili.:)

They did pretty well. 20+ fish between them I believe. A bunch of rainbows and a few browns. Made me wish I had skipped the doctors appointment. Kev can tend to ramble, but most of what he says is spot on. I haven't fished with many people as technically minded as Kevin. That being said, I have learned a great deal from both of them. They loved the area. We are smallmouth junkies at heart, so a small creek or river is ideal. They were eyeballing Shoal Creek for some srping and summer pontoon action.

Ahh good to hear. Sounds like a good day on Capp's. Kevin and I didn't talk fishing. It was on a more personal level and I am glad that he confided in me.

You are on the top of the list. I will talk with Buzz and see what he can do too.

Just a thought.... If you reel in 25 fish in one outing, are you doing anyone else a favor or just creating higher fishing pressure levels? In the state of MO, with most trout being in existence only due to stocking our waters, catching a limit should be considered even with catch and release at some point.

Don't worry the stocking truck comes at regular intervals on Capps Creek. Anyway, C&R fishermen are not the problem on this creek and releasing fish to be caught again helps everyone, including myself. :hope-my-fake-smile-works-again:

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Just another thought...thank goodness you pulled up this two year old thread and provided everyone a little insight into your philosophy on C&R. :goodjob:
