Taneycomo Rookie

I'm considering trout fishing lake taneycomo for the the first time this winter. I'd really like to rent a secluded cabin on taneycomo that could suit 2 families. I'm looking for suggestions. I'll be asking technique questions later!

I really don't know if seclusion and Taneycomo can be put in the same sentence.....but good luck and welcome to the forum.

A secluded cabin on Taneycomo would be a rare if not impossible thing to find. Most everything I have seen in the nearly 20 years of visiting the area has been resorts and condos. Winter may reduce the crowds in Branson, but not on the lake. Winter can be some of the best fishing on Taney. Check out some of the websites for accommodations on Taneycomo, you will find plenty. Although not secluded, but very nice with some really great people would be my favorite place, Lilleys Landing.

On your other post, Phil recomended Blue Haven, If he suggested it, it's probably as close as you can get to what you are looking for.

What are you looking for other than seclusion? Will you be wade fishing or bringing a boat? Do you need to rent a boat? Would seclusion elsewhere be more important than being on Taneycomo?
