ness Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Ran into this article in the NY Times of all places. Has a nice photo essay on trout fishing in Iowa's 'Driftless Area'. Always looks like such a pretty area; there's a ton of streams up there and pretty easy access I believe. Iowa John
KCRIVERRAT Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Looks like a good thing up there ness. I for one didn't know they had trout fishing of any kind up there, let alone 12" brookies. Nice pics of the countryside up there too. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
drew03cmc Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 KC, that sounds like a fun trip that we should think of making one of these days... Andy
vacation Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I have fished that area many of times...tons of small streams up there...some lunkers too...easy, fun, not much traffic. go for it, but if it rains, the creeks blow out fast and the fishing stops altogether
