I have this topic going under General Angling Discussion, but I thought I would put it here so the TR crew can weigh in. Please note I am quoting someone from a similar topic last year below. I'm goal-oriented, but I'm not a goal-oriented GUY. :D

Last year someone started a topic with this text "I know, I know, this might seem like a silly topic asking about fishing goals, but I'm a goal-oriented guy. So do any of you have something you want to improve on or perhaps fish a body of water you've never been on - maybe buy a boat or tackle? Let's hear what you'd like to see for yourself in the new year. Heck, even getting out of bed and getting in some fishing is a goal."

The topic generated a lot of posts and was interesting and fun. Wanna do it again?

My goals are...

1. Learn more about electronics.

2. Practice more drop shotting.

3. Learn more about fishing the jerkbait in the early spring

My goal this year is just to do more fishin!!!!!!!! Probably be busy with home purchasing and such but I'm gonna try.

I would say my goal is to break the twenty pound trout barrier, but I think the first one will be easier. B)

My goals are to fish more, take my daughter fishing a little more often, learn more about my electronics and learn how to fish deep structure better.

My Goal for 2010 is to get out on the lake more and become a better Table Rock fisherman. I also need to start taking better care of myself and knock of a whole bunch of pounds. I guess I should fish more and eat less.

Fishing Goals for this year...

1) Flesh out the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone I have the privilege of fishing with... even when I lose the fish that matters.

2) Take my 7 year old son to fish his first tournament

3) Take my 4 year old daughter and my son fishing more often... and give momma a little break

4) Truly be thankful and remember that it is a privilege to get to fish and to enjoy being in God's creation

Blessings and have a great year!
