Tito Degiosio Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 we started our day with zero degree temps and put in at Greer water levels were at 888 cfs it must be brian's lucky number cause he was rewarded with a heck of a nice bow the water being warmer then the air was making alot of mist over the water and looked liked ice all over the banks of the river it was also freezing in the air and coming down like snow I have never seen what lake affect snow is like but this must be close to it this was a sight to remember Brian ,Ryan and I all had a nice respectful day of catching trout the going was slow at first and picked up once the sun hit the water fly's of choice were the marabou jigs, high water they work very well ,copper john's produce some as well as rubber legs stoneflys in light tan water level was around 4 ft and at 888cfs injoy the view The Ghost Angler Tito DeGiosio & Cydney Siri Pleasnt Valley Cabin and Camping (Home of the fresh baked pies) www.pleasant-valley.biz 970-249-8330

superfly Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Those guys are not brave. They are dedicated to the sport of fly fishing and enjoy adventure. What an awesome setting. I bet that 21 incher put up a good battle. Thanks for the report and pics. Superfly
Brian Sloss Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 He went airborne twice and was a lot of fun to land. My favorite thing about that fish was the big hook jaw. Also had a great assist from Ryan and Tito with one on the oars and the other on the net. A cold but fun day. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Chris Gates Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Nice post and nice bow Brian. I need to get down to the Eleven Point soon. I've been spending a lot of time at the NFOW which I love but I need to hit the Eleven Point more. Thanks for sharing and nice boat!
Members vandelay Posted January 22, 2010 Members Posted January 22, 2010 He's a monster Cat! Nice picts Tito and it always helps to have a super net man with Griff too. It takes a few guys to land a fish like that. The landscape is absolutely beautiful for that time of year. I wish I was there. Well done sir.
