Catching fish on Crane, had a good day, caught this one with the cam going, didn't catch a bunch but saw some real hogs today, broke a rod and lost a pair of forceps, it was the perfect day.

I see you are in the St. Louis area, give mill creek a try, it has the same

strain of trout in it that crane does(McLoud river trout)

I've had some good days on mill creek, it is just far enough away that I only

get up there maybe 2 or 3 times a year, last year I made it up there only twice.

Great video, I've only fished Crane once and loved it. How was the water flow? What area were you fishing--if you don't mind? Also, did you see any redds or spawning activity?

I can't wait to get back there.

Thanks

Flow is good, not high, did not see a spawning fish or any beds, I would say the spawn has come and gone on Crane this year, I seen plenty of fish of spawning size and they are all

holding in deeper water now.

I was fishing above town, I'm going below town today or tomorrow.

Great video Tim. I'm interested what you used to shoot the video and where you got it. I will be down this weekend. I recently talked to one of our customers where I work who was down in Crane a little over a month ago clearing out all the brush that got pushed up against the railroad bridge just below town. It looks like he will be down that way again in the near future to clear out all the brush from the bridge just above town as well. I told him he'd better not tear up the creek too bad or else I wouldn't wait on him any more.
