shockley32 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 With the stick bait bite just around the corner what's your favorite? Do you use the same brand for walleye as bass? I've enjoyed using Rapala, Smithwick Rogue and Storm Thunderstick. Have your visited Limitville lately?
Members showmebassin Posted January 24, 2010 Members Posted January 24, 2010 A friend of mine turned me on to the Megabass Vision 110 jerbaits last year. While a bit pricey they are by far worth it. However if one ever breaks off I will be going for a swim to recover it. I caught them on sale online at tackle warehouse when they were $10 off and they were still $20. But the action, craftsmanship and casability are unbeatable. They also come standard with outbarb hooks which no fish can get off. Last spring I was fishing with one in a tournament and my dad finally had to tie one on cause I was catching 4 to his one. shockley32 Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 I've never tried to megabass plugs but might give them a try. I know they are expensive but always willing to try at least one! How do they compare to Lucky Craft baits? I've never tried them either but might be willing to throw them a few times! Come on momma give me a raise for my allowance I'm gonna need it!!! Members showmebassin Posted January 26, 2010 Members Posted January 26, 2010 I hear ya about the allowance. I'd like to get one more before spring hits. I haven't tried any Lucky Craft sticks. I think the nicest thing about the vision 110 is when it's really cold and you need to dead stick it, it does it all its self. It has a really good slow action that drives bass nutsm, and you just have to feel that bite. Early spring is really all I use them, the less I throw it the less chances of breaking it off. But it is a really productive coldwater bait. JD "If guns kill people then....pencils miss spel words, cars make people drive drunk, and spoons make people fat."

Quillback Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 That's the best deal I have ever seen on Megabass, I felt compelled to pick a few up myself.
Members teacher Posted January 30, 2010 Members Posted January 30, 2010 That's the best deal I have ever seen on Megabass, I felt compelled to pick a few up myself. What are your favorite MegaBass colors for Beaver, Table Rock, Stockton, or Bull Shoals walleye fishing? Thought I might order a few myself.. "Teacher" walleyepro69@gmail.com
Quillback Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I have not caught a walleye on one yet. But I would think that the Hachiro Reaction, which I would call clown, looks good, I like Table Rock Shad also.
