I posted this article also on the stream team portion.

For anyone who knows this man or has had the pleasure of meeting him I think you will be impressed by his ongoing efforts to keep a stretch of this creek clean for like 20 years now. He was just awarded a special plaque in honor of his efforts by the State of Missouri. Here is a link to the story in the Joplin Globe. Good read and a feel good story for all of us fighting the good fight for our streams.

My hat goes off to you sir. Thank you Ron. Just thought the guy needs some kudos.

I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves. I remember a time when I wouldn't even take my kids down there.

On a side note, Ron came out and helped us on Hickory Creek last last year. He's a good guy with a lot of passion for not only Shoal Creek, but all of the Ozark streams.
