Anyone been to Busch today or recently? Is the ice thick enough on 22, 23, or 24 to do some ice fishing from? Any info appreciated - want to head out there this weekend.

Bump. I don't know either. How thick does it have to be? When I was there Wednesday morning it was close to 3/4"

4 solid inches is generally considered the minimum for ice fishing. You might be able to get away with less, but I wouldn't try it personally.

I was thinking about heading out there today for a few hours, but I'm really getting tired of the whole ice thing. It's not that it wasn't fun at first, but it's really getting old. I think I'm just gonna wait till tommorrow when I can make it down to one of the trout streams (hopefully Montauk)

Went to 23 this afternoon. Ice is about 2 inches thick so it's way to thin to walk on. Had to use an anchor to bust through - not much fun. Fished with my son and Dad for about 3 hours - not one bite. Saw a few other guys catch one each but it was really slow for sure.
