skeeter Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Yea Skeeter, this is kind of Bad News. We are doing a construction project in one of the guest rooms and have taken Becky's car out of the garage, so we can use the space. It is covered in Ice and the powerlines are getting coated. This did not happen last week. My deck is solid ice pellets, and it is even sticking to our large windows. Seems now to be kind of a freezing mist. OH Boy!!!!! After last Winter and the monster ice storm I am really greatful for the outstanding job of powerline brush and tree trimming Carroll Elec. Co-op did last year. So far, this is the hardest Winter we've had in many years. Haven't noticed the Eagles out over the lake lately and they and the gulls are usually scooping up the dying shad by now. The resident Canada geese seem to have disappeared too. But the birds are cleaning out the feeders like crazy. Good luck with the construction, last year I was doing the same thing at this time in the basement and looking forward to a lot of Winter fishing this year....oh well ! At least the sleet turned to steady rain and melted the ice on our deck....for now.
