Thom Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 On this particular day I counted nearly 200 eagles on the lower end of clarksville dam viewing through my spotting scope. there were even more above the dam on the ice flows. Here are some of the pictures shot thorugh my spotting scope of eagles on the ice and across the river in Illinois. I shot these by holding my sony DSC p10 to the lens of the scope. you have to double to see the birds in the trees. Every tree was filled with eagles. Thom Harvengt
duckydoty Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Thats alot of eagles. We drive down to Fayetville, Ar. every other weekend and will see up to 50 of them in the trees around the chicken CAFO's along the way. Did you go to the "Eagle Days" event that the Conservation Dept. puts on up there. They use to give away prints if you attended. I think Charles Schwartz did alot of the art work quite a few years ago. Then they change the prints up to some other artist and they looked a little more like orential drawings than realistic drawings. Thanks for posting!
