Bird Watcher Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Went down Saturday to Honey Creek for a few hours. We were planning on leaving at 6, but my bud didn't show up until 8. We had to be back in town by 12:30. We knew it was going to be a quick trip but we wanted to get out for a few hours. We fished 4 or 5 docks in Honey Creek...didn't figure them out until 30 minutes before we had to leave. We ended up with four keepers and two shorts between 11:00 and 11:30. 15 fow, just holding the jig in place. They didn't want it moving at all. I wish we could have stayed a little longer becuase we were catching them pretty well when we left. Oh well, still a good first trip of the year and it was nice to be fishing again after a long grueling hunting season.
Quillback Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Thanks for the report, I've heard that the crappie are looking like they are making a comeback on Grand.
