I am planning a trip to Taney sometime in May, before Memorial Day. I have never been. I am also a newbie to Fly Fishing, about two years. I thought maybe someone could give me some advice on where to stay, a cabin for two preferably. I am from Tulsa and have only fished trout on the Lower Illinois in Oklahoma.

Thanks.

I would strongly suggest Lilleys' Landing. Great place, great people, advice, tackle. Lilleys' has it all. http://www.lilleyslanding.com/

I will third that. The people at Lilley's are great to do business with and they go the extra mile to help.

Don't wait too long to book, I'm on their books for a week in May myself.

If you can't book at Lilleys Landing, check out Blue Haven Resort. This is where my wife and I always stay when we go to Branson. They have cabins on the lake for a very good price. The cabins are clean, comfortable, and have all the ammentities you could want. Like others have said, reserve early!

Lilley's for sure! Nicest place and people you can find. If you are a fly fisherman, it's closer to the dam for wade fishing. Fishing right off the dock at Lilley's is even good. I saw a guy catch a 7 1/2 lb Rainbow there last Tuesday night, then a 2 & 3 1/2 the next night. Phil will always have some good information on what is working and where.
