Chief Grey Bear Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 KC came down for a little trout fix. Really don't have much to report. We did catch a few fish. I can report that the Brown trout have found their way to Shoal Creek. At least one of them has. I thought that was pretty cool. I have caught rainbows in Shoal but, this was my first brown. I also caught a nice, 11-12 inch, bronze back in Capp's. KC connected with a really nice 12-13 inch rainbow. Just a beauty! We didn't get into a bunch of fish but we had a great time. Little Chief pointed out to us some rainbows and a perch that had been cleaned. I guess someone had a great meal. Members poker fisherman Posted February 16, 2010 Members Posted February 16, 2010 went out Sunday as well, and saw the trout and perch cleaned there. Guy with his kids using corn at the bridge. Not a great day for me either. Caught a few but nothing to brag about. Fished from the bridge on Wallaby down to Shoal.
Buzz Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Sounds like fun. I wish I could have made it. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

ollie Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Well, well. I might just have to make it down there as well on Sunday! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Chief Grey Bear Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 How far down from the junction of Capps and Shoal were you? Any size to it? Not far. But I didn't start down below the confluence very far either. I think I may know what you are thinking and I too am curious to see how far down they are. Report for Sunday now is rain/snow mix. Ollie, you got any chili you can bring? What time is everyone showing up?
