TroutRinger Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 So my Spring Break is really early this year and my friend wants to go to his lake house on March 7 to do some fishing. I have never been there this early in the year. What is it like for bass and crappie this time of the year. Is it really worth going? His place is on the Little Niangua a couple miles towards the river from Big Island. I want to talk him in to coming here to springfield so we can hit up Taney and BSSP. "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."

You can catch some really big fish shallow at the Ozarks in spring on the LC Jerkbait or jig in a bruspiles. But you need to hope for the ice to be gone by then.... After a winter like this I would want to be south.
