troutfiend1985 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 How does Capps fish in the Summer? I have only fished it in the Winter and Spring but I am planning on making a couple of trips down there this summer if the fishing is worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the MDC only stocks White Ribbon Streams in the colder months correct? Anyways, I'm just wondering if the stream holds up well and if there are any hatches of note. Thanks. “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
Chief Grey Bear Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 You can find some great fishing there in the summer. As for the stocking, I believe that it is stocked periodically through out the year. A good rule of thumb is that they will stock just before a holiday. Not always though, but you will find fresh stockings a few times during the summer. jtram Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I have always found it tough in the summer but you can definately catch some fish. Just keep in the deeper current and stay away from slow pools. Lots of snakes but the fishing is worth it.
