Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 22, 2010 Root Admin Posted February 22, 2010 While the water was off for a few hours today, the midges came out to play! Not sure if I've ever seen this many hatch at one time. Mostly very small, light in color. Trout targeted them for a couple of hours and then left them alone. Most did not fly off the surface of the water.
<param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405">
Video should be ready for viewing shortly.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 22, 2010 Author Root Admin Posted February 22, 2010 K... posted the video before I could make sure you could see the bugs... can't or at least I can't. So here's some pics that do show how many there were.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 22, 2010 Author Root Admin Posted February 22, 2010 It was like this bank to bank today above the Narrows all the way to the dam. Not as many below there and below Fall Creek but there were enough to draw the trout to the surface to eat them.
