straw hat Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I read your report and if you have seen some of my fishing reports over the last two weeks you will notice I haven't been doing any better there. Just wanted you to know that I have been fishing the launch side and if you decide to try it I can tell you that once that side gets shadey (1 pm plus or minus) it dies. You may also need a big stick to keep away the other fisherman! HAHA Last Saturday I counted 12 fisherman between the launch and the bridge. It looked like opening day at Bennet Springs!! I wound up moving over to the rock rip rap.
Members Zac Seale Posted March 10, 2010 Members Posted March 10, 2010 Yeah there were quite a few guys just south of the cc bridge on the east side so we moved way down through the woods. I will definitely try to get to the ramp side and give it a try. A couple of guys have told me the old bridge point is a good spot to get walleyes, but i have never tried. I might give that a shot as well. With this great weather fish or no fish it is a lot of fun. Zac
