ryan Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Just got back from the lake last week and the fishing was incredible walleyes were biting like crazy along with great bass fishing kentuckys and smallies. Fished from narrows to devils fork and had good luck in all my favorite spots, ended up catching sixteen walleye one afternoon, all good healthy fish. That slot limit has really done some good no wonder this is my favorite lake.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 23, 2006 Root Admin Posted May 23, 2006 How do you fish for the walleyes? Troll points? Drift? Cast? Never been on or seen Greer's Ferry.
ryan Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 catch them with all the listed techniques, it just depends on the water conditions. You really need to fish there sometime it's the only lake in the world where 3 world record fish have been caught within a 20mile radius. Plus it is an absolutly beautiful lake, very deep very clear. I hear lots of people comment on how beautiful table rock is but it is a distant second to greers ferry, and that says something. I would be glad to give you any helpful hints if you decide to make a trip down there sometime. 3 years ago I ran into larry nixon in a gas station over there as his home town is bee branch and we talked fishing for awhile he is a super nice guy and one heck of a fisherman.
