BolivarBasser Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Ok, I tried to enter GPS coordinates from the MDC site for fish attractors. The website provides Latitude (##.########), Longitude (-##.########), UTM NAD83 Zone15 Y coordinate (#######.########), and UTM NAD83 Zone15 X coordinate (######.########). My Humminbird graph, however, when you go to enter a waypoint and enter the gps coordinates, it only allows for latitude (##˚##.###), and longitude (##˚##.###). I have no idea how to transfer from one version to the other. I was hoping to go fishing today and hit these brushpiles but I have no idea how to enter them in. Please help!

Most GPS units have the ability to switch the format on how coordinates are displayed. In your case you want to change from a decimal format to degree minute second format. If your Hummingbird does not have this option you can find several convertors online. Here is one from the FCC: http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html - Charlie
Dutch Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 That is a good conversion. I used it for over 300 wpts and they were spot on.
