taxidermist Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 A few smaller stripers being picked up on top waters, before daylight. Shad on side planners have produced a couple nice stripers in the teens. Stripers are full of eggs and some are making their spawning runs. The lakes license does not apply in the upper reaches near Theodsia, you will need a MO. license if you fish there. These were forwarded to me. I fished the same area down by the dam last night. Water temp is up a bit at 51 degrees. I had two misses and one in the boat that weighed 9lbs on a stick bait. The picture shows how fat or full of eggs they are. The quality of the pictures after dark are not the best. Dave I went to the area down by the dam last evening. I started fishing around 1845 and quit around 2130. I ended up catching three female Stripers, all full of eggs and around ten pounds. All three released to fight another day/night. It is great fun when they strike the Rogue in total darkness. There is no guessing about what you have. Water temp in that area was 45 and there were a lot of arches on the locator. That was my first night outing this year but not my last. Dave
