tippet7 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Just got this from the KRZK website At Table Rock Dam today, three gates have been opened one foot. Table Rock Lake Manager Greg Oller with the Corps of Engineers says there's no cause for alarm...it's not only because the lake is up a bit after last weekend's rainfall, but also because a unit is offline for maintenance... Oller says the total discharge will be about 14-thousand cubic feet per second, which should not have an effect downstream. He says the gates will likely remain open for a day or so, but that will depend on how much rain we receive over the 24 hours. You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 24, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 24, 2010 Wow- just got in from being gone all am and someone told me there were 3 gates open. I said, "NO WAY!" Yes way. I called the hatchery and confirmed. I fished up there last evening and caught 3 rainbows in 2 drifts- one on white and two on sculpin. Pretty slow. These gates might just what we need to wash shad in the lake. Bill says they're dying like crazy on TR... some should come over the top I'd think. Will get out later and see what I see. Will report back with a pic... at least.
