Ok 3/29-? we are going to be staying at our Cabin 10 miles West of Warsaw on 83 HWY not having bunch of extra money for Gas at this time where would be the best place to Snag and hopefully be productive? Below the Dam at Warsaw or Osceola?

I'm headed to Tally Bend on Sat. With the water temp so cold this is a tough one. Probably wait another 10 days for the water to warm???? If they were running water out of the dam I'd go to Warsaw, if not I would head toward Osceola, just my two cents. Good luck.

Ok I was looking if we cut straight across its not that far from our Cabin I would like to drive it without the Boat just to check out the roads I'm sure some of it is gravel.

I don't think they will run water yet with the water low as it was the other day.

Hey I see you live in Buffalo I live in Lead Mine do you get up my way fishing?

I guess we're practically neighbors! I don't head toward Lead Mine very often, occasionally I will fish the Niangua around the 64 bridge area. Normally head to Pomme, Stockton or Truman. It is very seldom I head to LOZ. However I hope to fish the Niangua out of a jon boat a few times this summer.

I fish Lindley Creek alot but last year I had fun fishing above the Dam at Pomme.

We have a Cabin close to Fairfield Ramp at Truman and I've been excited about Fishing and Hunting up there when I can.

Grew up fishing that area around Truman, still one of my favorites. You've got a cabin in a great place, enjoy it!!

PS- Snagging at Talley Bend was wretched. We managed one 3 pound spoonie and nothing else, graph was blank as I've ever seen it. Water temp 44 the same as opening day.

Hey oneshot FYI. You may already know but if your over Fairfield way you can take 83 south to 82 west to get to osceola. All good asphalt only about 20 minutes. Just go north about 1-1/2 miles on 13 off 82 to get to boat ramp in town or Crows Crossing ramp. If the waters low their tough to get in from but no problems right now. Waters about 4-5' above normal pool.

Yea thats the way we usually go.But I was looking at the Map we can take 83 HWY to EE HWY cut acoss hit C HWY to Talley Bend be closer.

I know one thing I don't like Rosco as far as Ramp and Parking even though the fishing is good.

Either way been waiting on $$ owed to me that is late coming so not sure when I'll have Gas to go anywhere, woke up in a Bad Mood with my wife this morning. :crywithno: I'm sure it will come in next couple days and all will be good once again.

I took my wife and the two oldest grandsons spoon-billing for the first time in the spring of '09. We were snagging below the 65 bridge there in Warsaw. Had a great time. Wife snagged her first spoonbill and the boys got their limit!! They are officially hooked on snagging. We did not make it up there this year but are planning a trip in the spring.
