It appears to be up about 4" from the last rain and the flow is a a bit high but okay. You may have to cross the stream with caution with the higher flow. But it should be fishable.

Its only 2.76' at Akers at the moment...crossing might be difficult in spots, but it should be fly fishable unless it comes up another foot or so. Wouldnt expect much dry fly action, but streamers, nymphs, & cranks usually produce at this level. Cheers.

think it will drop back down by sunday or monday?

I believe it's supposed to rain down there again Sunday, you may want to check the weather forecast before making any plans.

So Gavin do you think above Baptist is still highly fishable? At 187cfs, its not super high and murky is it? Maybe just a bit off-color? Trying to justify driving up there to do some fishing for the weekend and hoping maybe the river will go head and come down a bit in the next 24 hours...

It only rose about 7" on the Montauk Guage and a foot down at Akers.......Should be just fine right now, mabye a bit milky, but definetly fishable. I'd go tomorrow if your going. Possible T-Storms on Saturday, but 1/2"-3/4" of rain in the forecast for Saturday night.
