Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 3, 2005 Root Admin Posted December 3, 2005 I asked a MCD representative in Springfield about Missouri's effort to get an increase of the minimum flow below Table Rock- Taneycomo. I pointed out the article in the Mtn. Home, Ar's paper - http://www.baxterbulletin.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../511250314/1002 stating Arkansa was well down the road to get minimum flow below Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes. I asked if Taney was out of the running. He said Missouri is still persueing minimum flow and refered me to the Corp's site for an update but the page hasn't been updated since 10-04. So- not sure what will happen now. I'll try to do some research. Hey- "File Attachments" is now working... finally. You can upload images now.
Leonard Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I thought Taneycomo had already adapted Minimun flow... Ive see it a few times... but not often... I guess the times that I did see was just a trail run? http://www.taneycomonights.com
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 4, 2005 Author Root Admin Posted December 4, 2005 If implimented, you'll never see Taney at levels less than 702.3 - that's one foot higher than it is when it's "off". No trial runs.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 The only trial run I have ever seen, Leonard, was the day they ran around 680cfs with MDC guys all over the place and strings and wires up by chute 1. This was like over 2 years ago. ( I did land a sizable rainbow though right across chute one that rings a bell. ) The MDC and CofE guys were sitting in lawn chairs watching the water.. and the strings and whatnot. It was great fishing, but like Phil, I do not see it happening here for possibly 3-5 years. Even worse, Phil said that the one link didnt work.. thats bad news. we'll see - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
