Fly_Guy Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Just wondering if anyone has been lately and how the water is looking? I will be going tomorrow, so at the very least I'll be able to report something Friday.
Members hendernt Posted April 1, 2010 Members Posted April 1, 2010 I was at taylor on saturday and the SAC was about 2' high and muddy and the feeder creeks were clearing, but there were some whites in there still just tougher to catch. I am going friday and will post an update
Members jbeenemd Posted April 1, 2010 Members Posted April 1, 2010 I went down to Taylor Bridge yesterday after work. Got there about 6:15PM. Lots of people fishing from the bank and no one had any fish. About sundown those that had boats out on the Sac began to come in. There was one boat with 10 to 12 and several other boats with 2 to 3. So while there are some whites being caught it must be fairly slow yet. Any by the way I did not catch anything and did not see any of the bank fishers catch any either. If you do go, make sure you have your license as a female game warden showed up and started checking people. I am off tomorrow and my wife and I will be going down to the Sac. I would like to have some pictures for y'all tomorrow. Jackie
Fly_Guy Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Went down yesterday - got to Taylor at around 4 pm - fished till after 8. Caught 5 whites, 1 lgmouth, and one 8 inch crappie. Kept 3 - only two whites were decent size. Saw a lot of dinks and males being caught. A lot of folks there - a few had probably 10 or so.
