I've become fond of P-Line CX. 6 would be the first choice, but, depending on the color where you're going to fish, you might get by with a slightly heavier line if you already have it.

Bass Pro XL low vis green, 6 Pound.. Cheap but strong and if you want to go to a heavy line do not go past 8 pound! Just set your drag lite and have fun.

Thanks for your input guys.It looks like I am going to be going with 6 lb. test.I fished the rock last Thanksgiving and loved it.We caught smallmouth in about 30 ft. of water.It looks like I may target spots this time around though.Thanks again and good luck out on the water!CJ
