Anyone been lately? I'm contemplating whether to get up tomorrow at around 4 and head to Blunks or not. It would be a fitting way to start the day that I have to take comprehensive exams to pass with my Masters in Biology :D Or have they all moved up past Blunks yet? Any info would be appreciated - if they are past Blunks, is there any access for us bank fishers upstream?

Hey Fly-guy,

It will more than likely be crowded. There are plenty of trails up river. You can park at Blunk and walk up river to the first set of shoals, called Taylor Shoals. From there and further north several guys wade it and fly Fish. White or Grey Maribou jigs work great as does White Rooster Tails or purple swimming minnows. I caught my limit every time I have been in the last week. Early morning bite, noon to 2 and evening bites are the best. The females eggs are not fully developed yet so we should have at least two more weeks of harvest on the GREAT WHITES. I know I will.

I know I will. Good Luck and Safe Fishing

Thanks

I went this afternoon, and kept 13 in a coupla hours on chartreuse curly tails - that's a new personal best (I'm new to this 'white bass run' thing :)) I went downstream of Blunk - I'll have to start going north I reckon - it was a tad crowded tonight.
