Members basshead19 Posted April 16, 2010 Members Posted April 16, 2010 thanks guys. that is definitely good news. they should at least come back up too during the week by looking at the weather forecast.
Members Gobblehead Posted April 16, 2010 Members Posted April 16, 2010 My grandpa was there 3 days this week, they ran out of minows each day (old-timers don't trust jigs). I think they limited out 1 of the three days
Members Bassman755 Posted April 17, 2010 Author Members Posted April 17, 2010 I went fishing yesterday in clinton. I was fishing up a creek and caught a few. Alot of them were small but I managed to get 6 keepers. It was rainy and I had heard that they dropped the water so I guess thats why they werent biting hot and heavy yesterday. The ones I caught were on black and chartruse jigs.
Skeeter ZX190 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Fished out of Long Shoals today. Put in shortly before 8:00 a.m. and had my limit by 10:00 a.m. Caught them on a 1/16th oz. bright yellow power grub with a red head. Also caught some on a chartreuse & black maribou jig under a bobber. Everything was in 4 feet of water or less. Mostly males, but I did have 2 or 3 females. 5 were over 11 1/2 but everthing else were 10 to 10 1/2 inchers.
Skeeter ZX190 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Put in at Berry Bend around 1:00 pm. Fished until 5:00 and had 20 keepers. Had my son and daughter with me this time. The bite was real slow. All were 9 1/2 to 10 1/2 inchers. 1/16th oz grub. Either bright yellow or white.
rangerz21 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 fished anglers in action today most of the crappie fisherman said the bite really slowed down today. we caught 30 on saturday. only about 8-10 were females eggs look there getting ready. this week should get good.
Fishmeister Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Fished Talley Bend area today, 1:30 - 5:00. REAL slow 3 keepers. Buddy I was with, caught their limits Wednesday in a couple hours fishing the same water? Water temperature hadn't changed much from last Sunday 65 - 70.
shaker Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Caught two limits yesterday by noon, still somewhat scatered not really on the bank but close. Just average size mostly males but a few of the females appeared to be ready to spawn. Don't know what they are waiting on saw some 70* water should happen start big time any day now.
Members brynostackle Posted August 16, 2013 Members Posted August 16, 2013 Hey everyone I live on Truman Lake and I have invented a crappie measure that will leave you speechless. You can measure the fish and unhook it without ever touching it. You can mount it to your boat or hold it in your hand. For details like my Facebook page "Bryno's Tackle" and visit my website www.brynostackle.com It may seem a little expensive but you have to keep in mind that it is made out of light carbon steel so therefor it will never break nor blow out of your boat. It allows you to measure your fish without touching it or taking it off of the hook. There is a slot down the side of it where the mouth of the crappie goes that allows for the line to slide though and there is a rectangle cut out where you can pull the crappie jig through and then unhook the fish. Thanks!!
