Members kcbear Posted April 6, 2010 Members Posted April 6, 2010 Got it finalized today!! A fishin' buddy from Springfield is going to meet me Sunday afternoon at Orleans Trail. Our plan is to fish til dark on Sunday, all day Monday, all day Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. Back to KC in time to work a little on Thursday and Friday. I would appreciate any information-- like lake temps in what area, what's bitin' and where (generally speaking)-- and what you are using for bait. Anything between now and Friday afternoon that I can use to plan a little. If anyone is out during the time frame we are there, look for a new Lowe 175 Stinger, kinda cream colored, with two big, fat old men in it. (We needed the width of the Stinger cause neither one of us are that stable anymore.) Flag us down and say hello-- love to put some faces with the forum names. Until then, good luck to any of you that get to go fishin'!!! KC BEAR
Walleyedmike Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I'll be down at Stockton Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning. Will be getting the camper ready for summer residency much of Saturday, so I won't any reports on what isn't working before you head down. I'll watch for ya, I'll be taking my Ranger Reata 210/Evinrude 225 ETEC on it's maiden voyage. I haven't decided what part of the lake we'll be fishing (the wife and I), but we ususally put in at the old State Park Marina. My vehicle is easy to spot...it's the one with Nebraska plates. Best of Luck, WM
eyeman Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 NE plates. Have you fished. Merrit for walleye? I am goin early June
Walleyedmike Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I have, but it was a long, long time ago. Walleye Central would be a good place to post questions about Merritt. There are several guys on that site that fish Merritt regularly. WM
eyeman Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 how about sherman is it as good of a walleye lake . may stop there on the way up or back?
Walleyedmike Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 how about sherman is it as good of a walleye lake . may stop there on the way up or back? I've never fished Sherman. I've heard it's a great numbers lake with many fish 1/2" short of keeper size. I've heard that the past couple of years, which is wierd, you would think there would be a lot of keepers in there now. Any more, I generally only fish Stockton, Devil's Lake ND (one week trip every year) and Mozingo Lake in NW Missouri. Hey KCB, sorry for hijacking your thread! WM
