Members bheff Posted April 9, 2010 Members Posted April 9, 2010 I was looking on the TFO website for a new 5wt rod. I stumbled on the "healing water" and like the idea of some of the money going to help a veteran fish. However I do not know how that particular rod is. Does any one have any experience?
strangercreek Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 It seems like I read these are set up on the TFO Pro blanks, which are a great all around moderate-fast rod. I would say you can't go wrong.
Terry Beeson Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I will confirm that SC is correct... It is built on the TFO Professional blank. Only difference is the PHW finish. Same price as a Professional as well. So if you have cast a Professional, you know what the PHW rod will be like. It's a very sweet rod for sure. Zack Hoyt Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Definately a great value in a rod. I have one of the Reel Recovery rods(same blank, diff logo) and love it. Very smooth to cast but still has the umph to get line a ways out there. Team it with a TFO Prism rod and you have a great setup. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
