Quillback Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Tough day for me, fished 7 hours, maybe 8 fish total, 4 keepers, all on stick baits. I started off trying the SM banks near the dam, I was hpoing to find a toad, but I only caught the one in the pic below. Then I worked the coves and picked up a spot every now and then, could not find the hot bite. Awesome day to be out, the Redbuds are the best I have seen in the last few years, they are everywhere on the road into the Lost Bridge launch.
jay bird Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Did you see any top water striper/hbrid action, that one picture of the flat water makes is hard to wait.
Quillback Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 No I did not see anything top water wise except for jumping carp. Didn't see any shad either. Usually I'll accidentally pick up a white or two this time of year, but I did not catch or see any whites either.
jeb Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 4 keepers on Beaver is not a bad day. Although right now, I guess we expect a little more, huh? John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
