Members Ozarkfisherman Posted May 30, 2006 Members Posted May 30, 2006 Hi to Fayette! I used to teach at CMC. I live in the Elk River area now, but haven't heard of Eagle's Nest. I will check around and see if someone knows which area this is.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 You might check this site. http://www.missouricanoe.org/memberframe.html Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ollie Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Your talking about Eagle's Nest by the low water bridge right? I haven't been there in a couple of years, but I know the directions to where that is. Members Ozarkfisherman Posted June 1, 2006 Members Posted June 1, 2006 Go south of Anderson on Hwy 59, through Lanagan past Indian Creek Cove to the base of the hill and turn left just before Ginger Blue on county road to low water bridge. They have a RT. 2 Noel address and their phone number is 417-475-3326. For another option you might try Sugar Island resort on Big Sugar Creek--417-223-4410--I know the owners there and they do a good job.
ollie Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Ozarkfisherman, you know ol Ed too? Went to school with his boy. Is there still a sign there saying it's Ginger Blue since they dozed it all down? Since it's a fraternity float I would suggest Sugar Island, I think they may be more tolerable to your needs. Members Ozarkfisherman Posted June 2, 2006 Members Posted June 2, 2006 Yep, I know Ed senior and junior. Junior is now helping to run the place and taking a more active role. Guess they had a really big weekend for Memorial Day. More rain fell yesterday--the river should be full this morning. I'm headed for Taneycomo today--see y'all later.
Randall Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 hey thanks a lot for the info... i think we're gonna try the eagles nest because there was a bar tender down there that is one of our alumni. when did you teach at central? what division? Cute animals taste better.
Members Ozarkfisherman Posted June 12, 2006 Members Posted June 12, 2006 Glad I could help. I taught from about 1990 until 2000. I was the Communication prof and debate team coach. Gary
