Kyle Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Looking for a report on whites and hybrids. I am thinking about going next weekend, but don't want to make the 3 hour drive and waste the gas if they have not moved up yet. Wanted to hear if anyone has been catching. Thanks in advance Kyle
Members sportshop Posted April 12, 2010 Members Posted April 12, 2010 went saturday afternoon, fished till the flu got the better of me, caught a hand full of whites a couple of hybrids, they had pretty much shut the water down, if thats the case it will probably be tough, good luck.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 12, 2010 Root Admin Posted April 12, 2010 Friend of mine went a few days ago and caught a ton of crappie, whites and hybrids. Fishing sounds like it's pretty good. He threw swimming minnows and jigs.
Members Wahoo61 Posted April 13, 2010 Members Posted April 13, 2010 You never can tell about the tail race, but there are alot of hybrids and whites being caught. Water flow is everything as you probably know. Saturday and Sunday will be a zoo. I believe the top water bite is going to start soon. They were hitting on top for a brief period yesterday. The Corp says the water surface temperature is 61. Good Luck.
Members jnorman Posted April 13, 2010 Members Posted April 13, 2010 With the water temp above 60, I would think the hybrids would really be turning on. But who knows, this has been a weird spring. I was down Saturday and a guy next to me caught a 9# walleye that still had her eggs. The best time to fish is when it's raining . . . and when it's not!
