dtrs5kprs Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The little swimbaits have their moments, like the 3/8oz Sebile, also the smaller plastic swimmers. I will say I caught more small fish than good ones on them last year though.
Members bonsaibp Posted April 19, 2010 Author Members Posted April 19, 2010 I'm actually think more finesse presentations rather than swimbaits and the like. I'm bringing 3 spinning reels spooled with 4,6 and 8 lb flouro and 3 baitcasters with 8,10 and 12 lb so I won't be throwing any big baits. bonsaibp Northridge, CA
Members stock jockey Posted April 20, 2010 Members Posted April 20, 2010 I would agree with you normally, however, I discovered the pattern quickly reeling back full size zara spooks. The fish are very aggressive right now. Maybe from prespawn or post spawn. Not sure. I can tell you that I would fish bigger in the morning on the top water. Then, if it is high skies to go smaller.
