Tightline Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Started out early yesterday wadeing the River Run side up by the dam where I always fish, the water had dropped about 2 feet which wasn't good, not a bite. Went over to the Wheeler hole and fished my favorite spots, nothing. As I was leaving I seen a john boat heading for the dam.As I drove by the dam the two guys in the john boat had anchored 100 yards right below the rock pile and were just heaving them in the boat almost every cast. I got my binoculars out and watched. At first it looked like they were throwing chartreuse stick baits, but after a while I realized it was sluggos or something like that. They weren't even reeling, just throwing out and letting them drift. They had their limits in about 30 minutes. This was at 11:00 am. I headed for Swan and caught 22 in about an hour with a Rapala.I kept what I thought was bigger males mostly, but after cleaning them I had 4 males and 11 females that were mostly spawned out.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 16, 2010 Root Admin Posted April 16, 2010 Super- I'm heading over there shortly.
