Members crawfly Posted April 18, 2010 Members Posted April 18, 2010 I managed to acquire some small & medium size fish skulls and tied a couple streamers up. Nothing special. Just some field testers. I think I will have greater use for the small versions than the med or lg. The med will sink like a rock for sure. I'll have to chuck it with an 8 wgt. My 6 wgt will cast the small no problem. The golden chartreuse is tied on a sz 4 34011 mustad. The coppertone is tied on a sz 4 3366 mustad. This hook is too lg for a small head. I think BCO is gonna carry these so you might check with them if you're interested.
Buzz Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Those are some great looking flies. I have been thinking about getting some. Would you say that the small size would be best for a 5wt.? If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

jdmidwest Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I assume the skulls are weighted. I have not seen them yet, are they metal or lead? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
